Town Maps
| Information guides and maps are published for many towns around Ireland. With local maps, community information, things to do, places to visit, area map and information within these maps, making them a valuable tool for informing the tourist of local amenities. All maps are supported by local advertising, giving companies a chance to reach the foreign visitor. The maps are distributed to the local tourist office as well as all the local accommodation providers so as to reach as many visitors as possible. The maps are individual designed by the in-house design team and print runs on each map depend on demand, with most of the maps being published on an annual or bi-annual basis. In 2006 Condor Publishers will produce the fourth successful edition of a series of maps in conjunction with South East Tourism. This series covered the counties of Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford and were produced as a convenient aide to the South East Annual Guide. Within these publications there were maps, local tourist attractions and things to do, with a comprehensive area map on the reverse. They were extremely well supported by local advertising and were distributed through a network of 16 local tourist offices in the South East Region as well as local accommodation providers and the numerous travel fairs held throughout the year, both here and abroad. As a result of these guides being produced, North West Tourism commissioned a series of new publications for this region. These have been commissioned for Cavan, Leitrim, Monaghan and Sligo counties and have been published and distributed throughout the network of tourist offices in the North West as well as local accommodation providers. There would be no possibility of producing these publications without the support of local advertising and by distributing all the guides in the regional tourist offices, and travel fairs, we can widen the reach of all the advertisers on the guides. Guides are also produced specifically for local community groups i.e. driving guides, town trails, amenity guides etc, and Condor Publishers work very closely with these groups to ensure that the publication is what they require. |     |
